I was not aware that they came with 3 axle options. I just want to know what I have. Is there a picture here of the instrument cluster to match against mine as I think the FX4 had a different one than the STX?

I really hate to tell you this, but we ALL overpaid for our trucks!!!

Excellent! Thanks, it says the rear axle is a 3.55 9.75In. That's one of the things I was looking for.
It also says heavy duty towing package etc but "less skid plates" and "decal 4x4 dark shadow grey" which it doesn't have.

FX4 package was standard with skid plates, yes? So, it would appear that I got a XLT not the FX4.

Would I really notice the difference between the 3.55 and 3.73? I don't tow more than 3-4,000lbs at most. Thanks for the help

Maybe somebody ordered it without skid plates. Less means didnt come from the factory and the decal could have been pulled off. There is always confusion from people on whether the new to them truck they bought is XLT or FX4. I prefer the 3.55 LS for everyday driving and occasional towing of my TT and pontoon. Its the perfect balance.

I can't imagine why anyone would order a truck specifically without a skid plate, I know I never would. It's too late now at any rate. The heavy duty towing package with the transmission cooler is what I was after anyways. The heavy duty shocks it said it was spec'd with had already been replaced with Rancho's.

Thought FX4 came with 3.73 LS but my XLT has 3.73 LS. So all I need is a skid plate and it would be an FX4?

Nope your missing the interior pieces and body trim, and you get the heavy duty tow package included(tranny cooler, etc.).

Yeah, I guess me too!

Can someone lay out the interior trim pkg for me to confirm what I suspect. I think I read here that the instrument cluster was different and other stuff"?
