Default 2004 f150 transmission fluid smell

I noticed that my truck smells like transmission fluid when I get out of it. It is never low on fluid or leaving a puddle or trip anywhere. This has just been the last year or so since I leveled it and put 295/60/r18 tires on it. per my programmer the tranmission does not seem to be running hot. seems to stay under 180F. any thoughts?

Might be rear diff fluid leaking around axle seal and seeping towards wheel and rotors. Then when you apply brakes it heats and then you smell it. Check to see if your rear axle and then wheel is wet.

The smell of gear lube would make more sense since it stinks, and ATF doesn't really smell that much. Since you leveled it and added bigger tires, you're diff is working a little harder too which probably heats up the fluid a little more and has a little more potential to get by the seals.
