Some of the community and a vendor went on to tell me what I had was crap. Hmmm.. OK, so maybe I'm just ignorant.. So I offered to do a an honest comparison if the vendor sent me his product; the vendor declined.

And yet Vanquish Auto is expected to do something the other vendor wasn't willing to do? Seems to be some strong opinions floating around here (not to mention some hypocrisy).

Yay! Let us know what you think.

And if the other vendor is me... we don't need to send our products out for free (anymore) for reviews. We did that originally and people were amazed. Now we just tell folks to ask around OR if you don't like the product you can send it back for a refund. But we don't simply send free gear out anymore (unless it's a new item that nobody has tried out yet, THEN we invite folks to test them out). Plus we look for people who are active on here in other areas of the forum outside of lighting. There's just no reason for us to have to send out free gear. Our reputation speaks for itself 'round these parts

Win Power Win Power
which I purchased for $35. It had a decent rating with over a 200 reviews, so I thought I would give them a shot.

Now, comparatively, the cutoff might be a bit less clean or they may be not quite as bright than the "more reputable" product, but I didn't see a significant difference from the photos that would justify 3X the cost -- and they were significantly better then the Halogen bulbs they replaced.

To be fair though, what I don't know is the reliability or if the manufacturer will honor the 2 year warranty they state. It certainly could bite me in the *** sometime down the road, but I am definitely happy with the performance so far -- and if in 6 months or more one fails I'll just spend more on a product with longer/better rep, but I won't feel like I threw away $35.

I could do a head-to-head... your best vs. Vanquish's best. Side to side in the same vehicle.... just saying.

BTW, to the other vendor, I'm not looking for a hand out. I can buy the lights.

I got it. Lol!! I'm still down for a head-to-head. Sadly, the only vehicle I own that's not retrofitted is my wife's Pilot.

At first you didn't quote him, and it followed my post. I edited my post.

Well, I never asked for "free" anything. Basically the only thing would have been your "money back" guarantee would have included return postage.

I was happy to pay for them as long as the review revealed your product to be significantly better (they are over 3x the cost).

Incidentally, whether our new vendor is desperate to prove himself, or he is simply that confident in his product he offered to send me a kit for eval with return postage, which certainly tells me he believes in his product.

Since I saw Lenn's offer for a shootout, and I don't have your kit (nor expect you would send me one for a "shootout" since you declined last time) I asked him to contact Lenn as perhaps you would send your kit to him for direct comparison, which would benefit the entire forum community.

EDIT: Damn, just saw Lenn doesn't actually have a rig to use for a comparison....
