2004 F150 Gas Smell in Cab
2004 F150 Supercrew Lariat
113,000 miles
I was a little slack on spark plug maintenance and just (meaning 2 weeks ago) replaced the plugs. That's a horror story for another day. I have noticed lately when I first start the engine up, or when at stop lights, etc, I smell gas fumes in the cab. I popped the hood today and don't see any obvious liquid spills or stains so I am assuming that it is a fume leak.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

I would be willing to bet your fuel pump is cracked...the same thing was occuring to me and that's what it turned out to be...unfortunatly it was a 900 dollar fix...hopefully yours is something else but have that checked for sure

it's your plugs. i had same problem, even replaced some injectors and all o-rings still had smell though. finally after months checked plugs and one was loose. just half a turn and smell was gone. i read sometimes they don't seat correctly or they can actually loosen up in head. i would check plugs
