2004 f150 fx4 single or dual direct fit cats?
Hello can anyone tell me why some after market catalytic converters only have one converter and some have 2?
I'm looking for the passenger side, my factory one has 2 but in my research some only have one, even some of the high end ones only have one but i cant find anywhere the reason.
Thanks for any tech info

I believe the 04/05 has 4 cats and the 06-08 has only 2 ..

I just ordered a Walker cat for my 2004 FX4, it's a direct fit with only 1 cat. It has 1 O2 sensor before the cat and the 2nd is actually in the cat. I thought the same thing but everywhere I looked said that it was a direct fit for my 2004 and would work.
Since on the original, the 2nd O2 sensor is after the 1st cat but before the 2nd, should it still be reading the same exhaust as the 2nd O2 sensor on the aftermarket that is in the cat? Makes sense to me that it would and not have any issues.
