2004 f150 5.4 3 valve rattling at idle
My fx4 has 130k miles on it and it's always had the notorious 3 valve tick. It's never bothered me since I've been told day 1 of owning it that they all do it. Now after running it 20 min or so I'll come up to a stop and it rattles like crazy and seems to want to die. I replaced cam sensors since it was extremely easy and I was thought it was worth a shot. Didn't work, so I've been trying to do some research and seems like everyone has something different to resolve the problem. Some help would be much appreciated

Whats the history on maintenance? Plugs, cops, oil change brand/weight and what type of filter are you using? Is it the fuel injector tick that you hear, the injector tick is normal from the factory. If it is lash adjuster/followers, I changed mine out last year when I did the phasers and timing components and there is no more valve noise. Does the tick ever go away, like after it gets hot, if so, it could be a exhaust manifold leak.
Let us know so hopefully we can point you in the right direction.

The plugs, coil packs and manifolds have been replaced. I run 5w20 Motorcraft and Motorcraft filter. The injecter tick? I haven't been told that's what it could be. It ticks all the time, I notice it more once it warms up. Here recently I've also notice a vibration noise when slightly pressing on the gas. It'll go away once I let out or romp on it. Could be related?
