Default New Wheels

I own a 2005 f150 supercab 4X4. It has 255 70 R17 steel wheels. I'm looking at buying a set of 18" chrome clad lariet wheels from ebay and putting on 275 65 R18 tires. Can I use the same lugnuts? Also wondering how hard it is for the dealership to reprogram the new wheel and tire size in the truck computer so the speedometer isn't off. Thank-You, Troy

Welcome to the site!!

To answer your first question...Yes you can use the same lugnuts. I upgraded my stock 17's to the OEM 20's and I have the same lugs that came on the truck the day I bought it. And as far as the reprogramming goes. I'm not so sure about that. I know that we took a trip awhile back and I was following a guy and he said that his GPS said he was going 70mph but my truck only registered at 67 so upgrading to the OEM 20's knocked my speedo off a little bit. I'm just too lazy to go to the dealer and have it re-done.

Feel free to ask whatever questions you have.

Thank-You for your quick response. I can't believe the amount of information that can be found on this site.
