2004 F-150 front suspension problems.
Need some help here. My front suspension vibrates and almost throws me off the road when I hit pot holes or am on a wash board gravel road. It has not been modified except for mud tires. I have already had the lower ball joints replaced. I was told that these trucks are known for early wearing out ball joints. Is this true for the upper ones also? I am thinking about new ball joints all around and new struts. It has 87,000 miles on it and is not a 4x4. Is this a common problem in these trucks?

I have an 06 w/ 85K and I have already replaced my UCA (ball joints and UCA are one assembly) @ 50k or so. I also ended up swapping out my coil and strut at the same time as I felt the same you described. When I swapped my coil out, I went w/ one out of an Fx4 (got the code from a buddy's truck). That, along w/ the UCA/balljoint swap, and me installing Rancho QuickLift changed all that back to a smooth ride. However, I now have to replace my lower bj's (still factory's on) and hope to regain my smooth ride yet again.
