I recently noticed random snapping sounds from my interior dash. It sounds like a stick snapping. It only happens once every 5-15 minutes. Or longer intervals. Sometimes hitting a bump can cause the sound as well. The dealership said locating the sound would be like finding a needle in a haystack. They thought it could be the dashboard expanding in the heat but the sound occurs even on cooler days. Anyone have this similar problem or have any idea what could be causing the noise? The truck is a 2008 F150 FX4.

i have a slight noise in my dashboard, a slight rattle of the inner bracket on the bottom of the dash. but it's caused my 10 wide rims, mud grapplers, and horrible rural roads, otherwise no noise whatsoever, never did it til i swapped tires.

if it happens that frequent, i would insist the dealer finds it or ford will be getting a call. dashboard expanding, if that ain't a college educated guess, just too lazy to address the issue IMO
