Default 2004 5.4 fuel issue not the fpdm

2904 f150 dies while me driving am setting still.i replaces the fpdm and did not fix the issue. Itís intermittent truck will run a day or so with no issues then after sitting up a few days it does it again. New fuel filter also

Any codes? Could be the VCT solenoids giving out.

Clean Throttle body and MAF sensor with the proper cleaners...

And then disconnect the battery negative cable, jumper a lead from the cable to the positive terminal, and let the capacitors drain for 5-10 minutes. (put a thick cloth over the negative terminal to avoid risk of contact!)

I'm in no position to challenge anything the knowledgeable guys before me have suggested! But, what exactly is it that has convinced you it is a "FUEL ISSUE"?

A faulty or flaky Crankshaft Position sensor will definately cause one to go dead like you turned the ignition switch off. (J)ust (a) (T)hought.

Thanks guys havenít had an opportunity to look at it I ordered a Bluetooth scanner that will tell me the fuel pressure. It came in today. Been under the weather. Bought this truck for my son that we changed the engine. Iím at my wits end itís been a great project for us with many ups and downs. I will keep everyone updated what we find. I am medically retired from the army so taking it to a repair shop is a stretch.
