Default intake&exhaust

New to this. Just bought a 04 f150 screw fx4 just wanting to get some input on what kind/brand to buy. I was looking at putting a flowmaster super 44 and the k&n 57 series intake is that a wise choice or no???
Looking to get some preformance and good sound cause next with be the lift and tires. thanks

Will have an aggressive sound and is a reputable CAI. You will want a Tuner to go along with it, probably before the lift and tires.

You could go with an edge and still have the option to get custom tunes. Or go through VMP or Troyer and get custom tunes from the start.

If you are wanting to do a dual split rear exhaust (common on 4x4's) you are looking at +- $400. I would not pay more than $425 from a local guy. My quote was $386 out the door.

I could not find the 57 series for your truck through Autoanything.com
but the 63 series is $315

Im not big on K&N, I have a volant on mine
That runs from 285 - 315 depending on what model
http://www.autoanything.com/air-inta...0A3014830.aspx
and you can add a ram air scoop to it.

Im assuming you have the 5.4.

You will not see 15hp without fully custom tunes, 91 octane, and a full exhaust. That 15hp are the "possible gains"

Any CAI you get will improve throttle response. I love mine. I ended up with the volant because i liked the design better and the Ram Air Scoop that i added on to it.
