well i think that's the way it is sold due to copyright infringement on the word FORD
guess they sell the letters to make it whole separate in case the customer wants to complete it himself.
i'm not a big fan of claiming something you're not and although i like the look of the grill i was fine with it not saying FORD for too much ripoff of the raptor. i mean let's face it, this grill is a ripoff of the raptor grill...
the DODD is i guess the easiest way they were able to make it work to replace two of the letter to F and R. i mean you literally take two small screws off on the back on each letter and screw in the new ones and you can't even tell it ever said DODD to begin with...

I purchased the truck new in 2004. Never again new model purchase. LOL...
Just finished at 157,355 miles: Phasers, chains, guides, tensioners, crankshaft ring gear, lash adjustors, roller followers, and water pump. A few weeks before that power steering return hose and all transmission cooler lines which all were rusted and leaking.
History of replacement not necessarily in order: rotors and brake pads multiple times, serpentine belt, spark plugs (upgraded to SP 546), aftermarket COPs (my biggest regret trashing Motorcraft COPs on stupid tax), transmission service, rear end service, coolant flush, 3 out of 4 window regulators with Dorman of which one recently failed again), removed spare tire lock was so rusted couldn't get key in, and one backup sensor.
Replaced stock radio with 7in Touchscreen including backup camera and front camera and a TPMS system, wifi, and am/fm radio. It also has 2 bluetooth radios so that one of them is used for OBDII running Torque Pro and the other free to connect to phone. It connects flawlessly to steering wheel controls as well as makes the stock "premium" subwoofer under the back seat sound great like never before. When I put it in, I made a video: https://photos.app.goo.gl/YwTafWhUpKHsPdz78
Frame is rust free. No tears nor stains in leather seating. Everything works like new. Now, with the timing job, it's quieter than it was at brand new.

The only reason I lust after a new vehicle is Adaptive Cruise Control.
