Buy the 2.5" kit. If it sits higher in the front then put in a lift shackle or add-a-leaf in the rear. I would rather add a lift shackle later than have to replace the front kit to get the 1/2" you know you will want once its on.

What is the advantage to the Bilstein shocks? Is there less stress on ball joints etc.? Do you still need to re-align like with leveling kits?

2.5 autosprings. Check pics. Front is about 1/4 of an inch lower than the rear. Looks level to the eye though

Are the shocks better on the drivetrain than the kit?

I have a 2x4 with a Ranch Hand bumper/grille-guard replacement. It weighs about 150 lbs. Would you guys suggest the 2.5" lift to compensate for the weight?

Yeah, the general consensus is to stay away from a 3" so i think 2.5 is your best best...The shocks would help compensate for the weight as well though
