Default 17 or 18 inch wheels?

Any advantage either way? I think it's just what look it prefered?

18" looks good but it reduce vehicle performance and increases fuel consumption. It also reduce -500 lbs. of trailer weight and -500lbs GCWR.

17" will probably give you more tires choices. Not so sure about the 18" reducing vehicle performance though. Generally speaking, the larger the wheel diameter (for light trucks), the less of a load the tires will be able to support. For example, if you put 22" rims with low profile tires on your truck, you won't be able to tow squat safely. I've seen a few examples of this on my road-trips; someone on the side of the road with cool looking low profile wheel/tire set trying to tow a heavy trailer and one tire is completely shredded and the wheel is ruined.

Bottom line; it's really about the tires you have on the wheel.

Thanks, I like the look of more tire and less rim. Old school I guess.
I want to put 33 12.50 on 17 inch rims.
