$139.00 spark plug change!!
Finally took my 05 with the 4.6 into a mechanic to get the plugs changed. He quoted me 200-225 for plugs and wires. Me not knowing that much about the ford engine said ok. Went back to pick it up and the total cost was 139!!! Said there are no wires, and forgot that when he quoted me. Seems like I got a steal on the plug change. It also seems like a new truck again

Steal? Because from all I understood there was still the issue of borken plugs with the 4.6. Bonus, I didn't have to screw around with the fuel crap and all the stuff sitting on top of the plugs in 102 degree weather. Most were talking about 4-800 plug changes at dealer too.

I changed the plugs in my 4.2 V6 about 6 months ago. Cost me a little over a couple of bucks per plug....had to spend a little over 15 bucks. Gee, was I mad.
