08 FX4 wheel offset?

Website says minimum is 8.5" wide wheel, is that for their liability?

Sorry for the old thread bump, but just want to make a correction.

According to some online calculators, a 7.5" wheel with 5.5" backspacing equals about +32mm offset.

Mathematically the 7.5 wheel with 5.5 backspace has 1.75" positive offset. Multiply that by 25.4mm/inch and you get +44.45mm

Interesting. I follow your math but that means 2 out of 3 calculators I used online are wrong.



Can't beat the math though, so its got to be +44.

It's because wheel width is not measured from the outer edge of the rim, rather from where the bead seat is. The online calculators are right.
