Default 08 F250 Mirrors to 06 F150

Has anyone ever tried putting the 2008 F250 mirrors on a 2006 F150? I would imagine that the wiring harness may be a little different, but other than that, is the bolt pattern and fit the same?

I believe the bolt pattern and fitment is the same up to about '14. I'm running '10 powerfold mirrors on my '07 with no problems. Not sure on the wiring difference on the years you have in question. I have the pin-out for an '07 if that will help...

OK great. How does the folding work? I thought I read somewhere its in the middle position and then up or down. Is this the case or not?

Yeah, it comes in handy, especially when going thru a tight drive-thru. And yes, middle position folds them in/out.

If you get a power fold mirror and a power fold switch, will they be direct plug and play? Or is more wiring needed? I have a 2008 lariat with almost every option except power fold, puddle lights(read plug and play) and memory seats. Looking to get power, heated, puddle, tow mirrors. If can get them with power fold as well and direct plug and play that would be pretty nice

If you dont already have a set or can get superduty ones cheap, why not purchase a set made to fit?

Mine are from 1A Auto and the price made it not worth the trouble to try altering something. You can get them optioned the way you want and mine have held up well to abuse in the bush.

I would double check on that, I ordered a set of super duty mirrors to put on my 06 F150, the bolts did NOT match my truck, I do not recall if to far or too close... Now to be 100% honest I believe the SD mirrors was also for 06...
