Question 08' Cargo Management System

I've been gone most of the spring & summer. Sorry I haven't done my share to contribute here.

However, I just saw the new "Cargo Management System" at the stealership today. I had stopped to drool over the big mirrors I still haven't ordered. When I noticed a better than Nissan bed system.

It may have been discussed here already. My quick search didn't turn up a thread.
If it hasn't been discussed or you haven't seen the system, check out these two youtube links:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPOPF45E5Ns - Cargo system

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRBGKrWCYrc - Midbed system

My truck mod's are behind schedule since I have been spending my fun money on my ATV. However, now that the majority of mod's are complete on my ATV, my truck is back to the focal.

Connecting the two would be nice with the use of items in video #1. A rail system with a couple of cleats.

So I have a few questions for the crowd:
1. How hard will the retro fit to an 07' Scab 6.5?
2. They don't show it with a Line-X or bed liner. Are the two compatible?
3. Why does my wish list of mods grow every time I turn around?

Thanks in advance, look forward to your responses.
-Tung

Still in the basement not on the truck-
1. Hella Grill & Fog Lights
2. DNX-8120

In the mail-
1. Bel RX75 pro plus

In the Truck's Bed-
1. Polaris Sportsman EFI 500

Cool, thanks for sharing. I would think you would be able to use it on the 6.5 if they make longer side rails. As far as using it after a spray in liner that may be difficult unless they have a way of trimming the cross sections to make up the difference in the spray in liner system.

Bump,

Anyone have info on the Cargo system?

I've noticed that Ford is not placing a "track" on the bottom of the bed (horizontal plane). Doesn't seem like an issue, just thought I'd see what others thought.

Thanks,
-Tung

Thumbs down

After further research, I find that Model Year 08's have a series of "bungs" placed inside the wall of the bed. Leaving an open holes in the bed, that my 07' does not have.

The bung is threaded and would recieve the bolt, holding the cargo management system to the truck bed.

It appears on a 6.5' bed, there are about 8, 4 per side. I might try and sneak some pic's off the Ford lot, down the street.

Conclusion, I don't believe the cargo management system will retro fit F150's other than those with the "Bung". Too bad for me!

Here are a few pictures of a typical 2008 truck bed, 6.5ft.

Triton,

I want the XLT handles, their matte/textured black with chrome handles. They'll match the rest of my truck as I continue down the "mod" list.

I have white: handles, mirror caps, grill, and grill trim ring.

I'll be adding TTT mirrors - black, Hella fog light grill- black, a black tonuea cover and tinted windows.

So basically, Im leaving the grill ring white, changing the rest.

Why, do you know where some are?
Thanks Triton.

The only reason I asked is because I have an XLT Supercrew.

Triton,
Does your XLT have two tone handles? Or is someone giving me poor info.

Thanks,
-Tung
