I hope you don't take this as negative. It's just a fact of life these days. I seem to remember you said you were in Oregon so I looked up Oregon DMV rules because of how much things have changed here in Michigan and most states in the last 20 years. Unfortunately I've seen a lot of people get burned by the state because they didn't know the rules and didn't prepare everything they needed to title, register and plate their vehicle.
Legally in Oregon you will need to prepare to apply for a new title called an assembled vehicle title. You will be required to have bills of sale and original VIN numbers for all the major components you have put in your truck. Here in Michigan before going to the Secretary of State, our DMV, the state police have to sign off on the vehicle. They ensure all the parts are legal, not from stolen vehicles, and that the car meets safety requirements. This may or may not include emission standards testing. This depends on the years of the vehicle and parts involved. Bottom line, you need to find out in the state your in and if any of this is needed for you the more time that passes between you getting your parts and when you get back to your DMV the harder it will be to get this information. I've seen vehicles not get titled or licensed because the owner didn't have all the information needed and even when the vehicles did eventually get titled it took a lot of time and it was a PITA to get done.
I've also seen people with the opinion, "how would they know" and not do what was required. They got the vehicle registered and plated and then get in an accident or the vehicle gets stolen. Then the truth came out. The fines and penalties aren't cheap. $10 and $20 grand and more are not unusual. I also know one guy that can't get insurance anymore after he got caught with this a second time.
There are also funky rules here about vehicle parts that came from vehicles with scrap or salvaged titles. There are rules regarding being a licensed mechanic in the state and who can use parts from the vehicles. This is about who the state can ultimately apply liability to if something happens.
Really, I don't mean to be negative but some of these and maybe all or more may apply to you if you are in Oregon. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. I've learned about this the hard way and wouldn't wish it on anyone. The Ford Performance Control Pack PCM's don't have a VIN loading into them which is an anomaly to the rules.

That's definitely not a negative, and I appreciate all of that. Luckilly right now in my area of the state I don't have any car inspections or smog in my area. Right now the police have a hard enough time with the homeless/druggies that are camped out EVERYWHERE. I have along with a lot of my buddies ran heavily modified vehicles and they dont bat an eye over here. Cali however is a difference story.

I know it’s a bit late in the game. I was wondering if it would be any simpler to swap out the complete cab and deal with body line matching if any at a later date? I haven’t looked much recently at the newer body styles to know if it’s possible. Assuming one uses the same cab format (ie 2dor or 4door etc). I know there’s differences but maybe it’s too much to. It was just a thought I had as I was reading through your posts.
I have had the cam phaser issues but can’t afford to do the repair needed yet. I was thinking about a swap should mine give up sometime in the future. It’s an 04 screw 5.4 4x4

Interesting. We used to do this stuff 50 years ago, but wasn't near as complicated as yours.
Hang in there.

Not a lot to report. The new body Harness that I got doesn't match up to my seats so I quickly decided they are only going to be power seats for now. After I calmed down and stopped throwing a temper tantrum I looked into the schematics a bit and realized it's 4 wires for the climate controlled seats each plus 2 wires for the power and 2 for the seat belt. So all in all I need to wire up 10 wires each side and say screw you to the memory feature. After that I realized that I extended the wrong pig tail for the adjustable pedals (the connector for the sliding rear window is the exact same plug) and then I extended the right harness. After that I got most of the center console wired but need to get a few connectors to wire up the console shifter. I also realized that the headlight switches use the same plug but are wired completely different. After pulling all 9 wires out I looked at the schematic and put them RIGHT BACK INTO THE SAME DAMN SPOT since I was looking at the wrong schematic. So in general....
1: Never do this swap.
2: I need to not be looking at schematics without at least 250mg of caffeine coursing through my body.
3: If you still haven't figured this out the swap isn't worth it.
4: It's getting closer.
I honestly was going to try to turn it over tonight but playing with all the wiring drained the battery and I need to go to sleep.
I would have taken a picture but I decided to drop my phone in the toilet yesterday so most of my pictures are now gone......

I'm hoping to be posting more here soon. I've got a lot of projects that I REALLY need this for so here's to hoping it's running and DONE here in the next few weeks!!!
Also how would someone go about getting sponsored by Bang energy drinks? I think that might be the only way I can get this done by the 4th of July (my current unrealistic goal)

Once again, I really admire your tenacity.
