07 F-150 FX4 4x4....stutters at 45-55mph..HELP
Bought from credible Ford dealership in Maine April 2015 with 133k on it. Ran great all summer long, Truck just hit 140k this morning. When I'm driving 45-55 mph the truck will stutter like it cant decide if it should be in 4th or 5th gear. I usually have to let it get down to 40 and then force it to downshift. This happens mostly on a slight grade.
anyone have this problem or know a solution. I feel I am damaging it every time this happens.
appreciate anything.

Clean your MAF and throttle body. Take a look underneath to see if the dealer put a new fuel filter in it. After that it could be plugs or COPs. Drop your spare tire, and take a look at your FPDM as well. (Search FPDM if you aren't aware of this issue).
After that, you could also have a bad cat. Does the exhaust smell like rotten eggs, or do the cats glow red?
As you can see, a misfire or bucking issue can be a lot of different things, these are just a few to think about.

Mine did this same thing it was a coil pack. But now I have the issue where when I'm going up a hill and giving it more gas it down shifts from 4-3 and it slams in the next gear violently. And it shudders if you get on and off the gas at low speeds.
