Default '06 Bracket Under Intake Hose?

I just bought an '06 with 5.4L 3V. While I was breaking off all 8 original spark plugs I notice a bracket under the air intake hose directly in front of coolant reservoir and master cylinder. Anyone know what it's for? Lisle tool comes Monday :-)

My air box is on top of the intake. I wonder if this was from another truck? The previous owner repaired some front end damage with junk yard parts. I know the hood is from a 2005.

That’s where the air filter would be if you had a 4.6L

Must’ve used a fender from one.

Maybe a good place to mount a tool box!

Well your intake tube should be going through that hole in the fender, so I’m curious where that is.

Tool box would be interesting though...

I have a new fan belt coming tomorrow from Amazon so I removed the intake tube to remove the old belt. Getting new plugs and Lisle tool and a fuel filter as well. I believe the plugs, fuel filter and fan belt are original. I just bought it so I want to do what I can to make it reliable as possible.
