wondering if the 09 shifters will fit in the 04-08 models. If you have looked at these shifters they are flatter. I think they look like the old pistol grip shifters. Im going to research this and see what comes up.

Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead...My plastic top has now pretty much come loose. Just the back clip now holding it in place. I took it off and noticed the 2 side clips had broken. Is there still no word on where to find a replacement or mod for this?? If not, I guess I'll just have to super glue it!

Shifter Cap
Bought my 05 FX4 SCrew used and driving it home the Plastic Chrome Shifter **** came off. You could tell it was previously glued. i tried Super glue first - but it always eventually came off. The last time I put a glob of clear bathroom silicone caulk and attached the cap - it hasn't come off since
