Did they install or did you. From ford I think that sounds reasonable. I was getting quotes last year to recover a bench seat for a truck I was restoring. They quoted me $375 which I thought was crazy. Then I decided to do it myself and the foam was $180 just for non molded automotive foam.

MSRP for the seat cushion pad from Ford is $160, sounds like you did pretty well.

Yes you did of sorts. In about a year, that foam will do the same as the first.

I wished you would have posted first, or done a search. I took my truck to an apolstry shop in town. For $45.00 (yes, $45.00), they removed the seat from the truck, removed the bottom cushion, installed some great memory type foam to the bottom and sides, trimmed it using an electric meat cutter, reinstalled the apolstry, and installed it back into the truck in about an hour!

It's soooooo much better than the stock foam. I've had it now for about a year, and it's still perfect!

If it's the foam you bought from Ford, it will last you about a year. It's poor quality. For less than half of what you paid for it, you could have got better foam, installed, and will last several years from a local auto apolstry shop.

Damn! That is one hell of a deal. For that price I'd get both front seats done. I wish I found deals like that around here!

I agree. My driver's front seat is going to the s**tter and it's starting to show it's wear. I'm definitely not going with Ford parts. I'd sooner have it reupholstered with new foam or throw on some nicer seats.
