Question 05 f150 brakes delay after releasing pedal

Been having an issue after releasing the pedal and the brakes don't release quickly feels like they both drag for 1 or 2 sec . I did replace 1 rotor and both brakes last month . When I do depress pedal there is a noise like rubber to metal . Maybe the booster is on its way out any thoughts would be appreciated.

Calipers might be sticking or seizing. Is your gas mileage dropping? After a drive through town, feel each wheel near the center (not the center cap, the actual wheel). Is one warmer than the others? Fronts would naturally be warmer than the rears because about 70% of your braking is done on the front. Compare temps side to side. None of your wheels should be hot to the touch.

Yes I did decrease the slides gas mileage is good brakes don't over heat but .......IF. ... I lift up on brake pedal it goes away seems the pedal isn't lifting quickly. Is there a rubber gromet in firewall can I remove the brake rod off pedal and grease it or a weak spring on pedal return

No. The brake it connected to your brake booster which is connected to your master cylinder. Have you checked the vacuum hose going from the booster for leaks?

I will check it when I so depress the pedal. There is a crunching sound like dry rubber on metal maybe the booster is going out.. just doesn't feel right like adding a little extra pressure on pedal

I just talked to a mechanic about fixing my brakes. The rotors are shaking bad on mine. He suggested getting new rotors, calipers and pads. Apparently the calipers are notorious for going bad and messing up the new rotors or turned rotors. The old caliper doesn't release correctly and will cause damage to the new rotor. Does this sound right to you all? I want to get mine right the first time so I don't waste time.
