Default 05 5.4 3valve cam sensor

im working on an 05 250 with a 5.4 the check engine light is on the code is po340 cam sensor. ive replaced both cam sensors and cleared the code. it came back on. any ideas besides wiring?

also i need a jack set for my 04. anyone know where to get one besides ford house?

Its most likely the alternator.

how would that throw a cam sesor code?

Interference. If you have an oscilliscope you can do an alternator ripple test. Its a known problem on the 5.4 3v.

i have a vct timing sensor the one that goes inside the head and can be seen from the valve cover
