Default 04 Scab rear seat install

So, I have an 04 Scab that I can't get the F-N rear seat to snap into place. I've got the passenger side fully clipped in, but I can't get the drivers side to go completely in. It'll go in, but it'll still have about half an inch to drop in. Anyone have ideas what I doing wrong or tips?

Small update. Got the seat fully in, however, the backrest of the seat has about 1/2 inch of up and down movement. Is that normal? I haven't had the backrest in for about 6 months so I can't remember if it was like that before.

Did you check to see if all the plastic clips are in place, I had mine out a few days ago and the passenger side went in good but the drivers side was sticking up and out about a 1/2 inch as well. Picked back up on the drivers side like I was taking it out and then pushed in real hard and pushed down, locked it in place like it was supposed to be then. Good luck

Doesn't sound like it's back in all the way. Check the clips up top and stick your hand down underneath to see if it's clipped. It's a pain pulling the seats out, but they usually go in easily.

Well I can reach between the cushions and feel that the bar is fully lowered into the retaining parts. But again, I can lift the seat up about 1/2 inch. It feels like it's secured and won't just pop out, it just has that play.....
