Hey all

I have a 04 S-Crew that is acting up when I switch to 4x4. It shifts into and out of 4wd fine, but the light that indicates that the 4wd is on doesn't work. I just ordered a new IWE Solenoid Valve. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Is the solenoid in your truck now covered by a rain hood?

The one that is in there currently is not covered. The new one in the mail is. Here's some info.


1) Turn key on - All 4wd lights light up
2) Once the truck is running and switch is in 4HI position there is no light.
3) When switching back and forth from 2wd to 4HI while the truck is stationary, the light will blink very fast but not stay on.

i have the same issue but no info on the resolution either.

It's likely water got in the old solenoid (no rain hood). The new one should fix it.
