Transfer case seep...
06 f150 KR 4x4.
I have a slight seep on the transfer case, between the t-case body and the t-case tail housing (NOT between the transmission and the transfer case). Barely wet, not dripping, just a seep.
It's not a huge deal, but i do want to get it done. I have an idea and was looking for thoughts or comments.
I plan to drain the transfer case, remove the bolts that hold the tail housing to the body, slide it away from the t-case towards the drive shaft (It looks like I'll have almost 2 inches of movement before I hit the u-joint). Clean the mating surfaces and redo with permatex
Will this work, or am I missing something?
Thanks!
