Exclamation 04 f150 fx4

Need ideas. Truck has 129k on it and in the past 200 miles I have replaced; fuel pump, fuel filter, cam position sensors both banks, vct solenoids both banks, and the fuel pump driver module. Truck only starts when it wants to. When it does start it runs like a champ. others times I can keep cranking it over till I drain the battery. No check engine light. Did have one on when the vct solenoids were bad. I can hear the pump buzz and the feel/hear the relays click. Thinking fuel pressure sensor. Any advice or similar symptoms that might help is appreciated.

Thanks

What is your security light on the dash doing when it cranks but doesn't start? Do you have another key you can try?

Security light is normal. Have another key but it's just a dummy key. Pulled the fuel line at the filter and it was bone dry. I had a good friend come over and run things over with with. Fuel pump makes the priming noise but doesn't send fuel. It's doing the same thing before I installed a new pump. Like I said I replaced it, filter and the fpdm.

What are you using to pull data from the OBD port? Pick up an OBDLink MX (only know this one 'cuz it's what I'm using) from Amazon or somewhere. their app will let you see the output from the fuel pressure/manifold delta sensor.

Checked the inertia switch and it was fine. Don't have a scan tool just going off what I'm finding. After I replaced the pump in ran for two days and tried to start it this past Saturday and nothing. Same thing it was doing before I replaced the pump. Pulled the line at the filter and it was bone dry, but u can hear the fuel pump prime but no pressure. If I can't figure this out in the next day or 2 I'll take it into the dealership. Hate to pay for something that should b relatively easy to fix.

Had a buddy tow it up to the dealership and they dropped the tank and said the pump I had a faulty check valve that wasn't allowing the line to pressurize. Thanks everybody for the help and tips

You said that you replaced the pump. Was the replacement bad too?

This guy's videos are pretty good.

Bought a new pump of Amazon and installed it. The mechanic at the dealership said it had a faulty check valve but was going to put a new one in it and diagnose it again. I didn't splurge and buy a motor craft pump but I didn't go with the cheapest either. Wasn't an airtex I've read to many reviews on them. It was doing pretty much the same thing as before, before I put the new pump in. I thought the pump could have been faulty but I really didn't want to have to buy another pump and pull the bed off again. I'll know more when I get back in town later this week.
