'04 f150-5.4- HELP PLEASE!!!
I am working on an 04 f150 with the 5.4 Triton. Just got through with the timing. Again. All new chains, guides phasers, vct solenoids, crank sprocket. New ignition coils. New cam sensor for the passenger side bank since the previous issues have been on that bank. I am 100% positive the timing marks are lined up correctly.
Took it for a test drive last night after putting it all back together. Runs great for a minute, then feels like it has a serious miss and starts stalling. No engine codes yet. Maybe didn't drive it long enough...
Any ideas?

Sp 515's failing out of the box , Identify cyl misfiring
We have been seeing this lately . This is the last one . Try your old plugs

Finally got codes. P0010 and p0020. Both vct solenoids. Also got bank 2 over retard. Cleared the codes. New codes came back. P0345-Cam position sensor "A" circuit bank 2 and P0353- Ignition coil "C" primary/secondary circuit malfunction.
Why am I getting different codes? Could my ECM be fried?

@ductapediciple I hate to talk about things under the timing cover after a timing job. BUT, those codes point there. I have to ask. Are you SURE crank tone ring was installed with fingers pointing toward FRONT? (We had a member with similar symptoms traced to THAT). Also, did you remove the pan and clean oil pump pickup screen of any broken guide debris?
Your P0010 and P0020 (over advanced) could well be VCT solenoids. (There is NO way the Phasers can Advance Cams. They can only be 'Less Retarded' than the PCM's requested position. That is reported as OVER ADVANCED.) That can be caused by VCTs not opening 'retard' oil flow properly - or oil flow being insufficient to move phasers to 'retard position', or perhaps phasers 'binding' I guess - but they are new. The P0022 is the opposite problem, the phaser being more retarded than they should when PCM is requesting (or expecting) it to be fully advanced (or at least MORE advanced than they are). Again, that could be VCT solenoid not routing oil to advance chambers properly, or oil pressure insufficient to push phaser to advance position allowing the locking pin to capture it there (if that happens, P0022 can occur on the next startup before oil pressure comes up). That scenario will also result in the P0345.
Don't let the P0345 confuse symptoms. I have written before about it (and P0340, P0344, and P0349) having a HORRIBLE worded DTC description that often results in chasing a rabbit trail toward electrical issues. It REALLY means that 'When the PCM expected to see the Phaser 'finger(s)' pass by the CPS sensor --- it wasn't there!). Regrettably, that could be caused by noisy or flaky wiring, but since you have OTHER symptoms around the same conditions - I would waste no time on that trail.
Hope this provides some help.

@F150Torqued... I am absolutely sure the tone ring is correct. I made that mistake before. What a pain in the butt! After having to tear it all down to correct it, I am very conscious of that now!
I am planning on flushing the engine and dropping the oil pan today... I'll post results afterwards.
What has had me so confused is the different codes. Thanks for the clarification!

From what I have deduced
P0353 is cyl 3 = c coil same thing . Let us know if your pan drop finds plastic in oil pu screen . Sure sounds like you have oil flow problems ,maybe a little marvel m oil after flush too. Maybe re clean VCT screens and path .
