04+ 5 speeds please read
Hello new to the site. I picked up a 07 v6 5 speed last week and was wonding about the amount of drivetrain slop this thing has. its got 43k on it. The problem is that I feel a thump/clunk when shifting, like its haveing to take up the slack. but if i pay attention i can shift all day and not have it do it. what im getting to is this normal. I took it to another dealer and ask them, He took it for a ride and said it felt like a brand new one. really? He said he knows the thump I am talking about and i would get used to it.
I look at the u-joints and they were fine. I did notice that the pinion nut loosen up some and took it back to the dealer and they so called fixed it.I compard the slack in the diff with my dads 06 today and it was the same.
