When you are stopped and go to give the truck gas to go on it hesistates. It also misses just a little bit. The truck has 143k but it has been very very well maintained. The tranny was rebuilt at 80k. Could it be something in the tranny or just the milage? It had a tune up at 100k. No codes are being thrown at this time. So Im just trying to figure out whats going on. BTW the truck is bone stock.

Default ditto

I have an 04 5.4 screw that has had this issue since I bought it last year. it has 70,000 miles on it. I don't think the engine misses, but it alsmost feels as though the rear end is slipping for a second, and then it catches up, which causes the "hesitation" feel.

Doesn't seem to be hurting anything, so I've left ti alone.

Thats how this feels almost like something is slipping then it goes. It seems fine once you are going. The tranny shifts fine. The miss was after I drove it pretty hard down the freeway and then stopped with the a.c on. I was stopped for a good 5 minutes

I'm sure I need new plugs, but after reading all the horror stories about them breaking and the big $$$$$ it costs, I'm a little hesistant.
