i'm not willing to put much money into cosmetic work. I just hope it lasts me a couple more years till i get my school loan paid off. Then i'm getting an f250 for my next truck. Some of the things i pull is way over this truck's limit and what it was designed to do

Some Ospho, primer, and paint would go a long way towards at least stopping the rust where you're at... it's not so much cosmetic as it is structural.

People underestimate what these trucks "are designed for." My '84 S10 has a higher published payload than Ford published for my F150, but I do not for a second believe that the Ford can't haul at least as much as a 35 year old S10, especially considering how much Ford has touted the "fully boxed frame" and heavier duty suspension components. Flame on.

i've pulled roughly 13,000 lbs with this truck. more than once too. pulling it's not to bad on flat ground but the hills it struggles bad
