It was nice (read: above freezing and mostly sunny) yesterday, so I managed to get out the rubbing compound and wax and clean up half of the truck (hood and driver's side.) Still far from perfect, but from a starting point of ten years of oxidation, I'm pleased.
The difference between before and after is striking, and cleaning up the fender flares didn't hurt, either. And the truck has been washed, so that's all paint haze and not road salt on the passenger side. (And the dent at the back of the bed is from when I backed into my wife's Explorer. Long story and I'm still quite angry at myself.)
