I did not clear-coat the center console pieces, its actually about 8 coats of plastidip. When it shows signs of wear, it will be pulled off and painted. I have my old man looking for a black satin for the paint. He paints and repairs salvage vehicles. I an kind of torn though. I may try some glossifier on it to see how it looks, I just dont want it to shiny.

But how about matte clear instead of the glossifier? (Not sure if that's actually matte or not though)

Hmm, never seen that. They have glossifer at Wal-Mart, so I thought of using just a couple light coats for added durability. I keep my Galaxy S3 in one cupholder while charging and hope it doesnt rub on the edge. May have to keep it up in the dash from now on.
