DirtRoadKid-I basically pulled them off so they were lose and set them on the rail. Then I eyeballed it with my knife and put a small hole and just kept cutting till it got slightly bigger. Once I got the hole big enough I used a hand file to square them out some and boom done lol.

It was actually really easy to make the holes, I just don't get why there wasn't any pre-cut holes there already from factory.

That is weird, mine does have holes with nice plugs to fill them in. I already put in a couple tie downs with retractable rings that fit under the covers.

Weird maybe it was a option or something because my 03 F150 didn't have the holes either.
