Your truck doesn't have resonators (unless Limiteds are different from all the others, but I doubt it), so I'm not sure what you're thinking about. Cats look like resonators maybe?

I have long tube headers, Roush (Borla) catback, etc., all 304 stainless.

@KMAC0694 for me, but I never post pics lol

Cool

My friends Silverado had resonators. Maybe just Chevy has them? I've seen some videos online of "straight pipe" f150's and I love the sound but being in California, the emissions rules are obviously not on my side. I plan on going with Comp Cams Stage 3 XFi, Long Tube Headers, Procharger 3 Core Intercooled, and much more. For suspension, I plan on doing a 3/5 lowering kit, Eibach camber kit, Eibach lower control arms, upgraded sway bars, etc. I have a lot planned for it. Can't wait to finish school.

Ok guys I have an05 F150 stx 4x4 single cab. Wanting to get it a little higher. As of now its stock with leveling kit. (Guessing 4 inches). Id like to get a 6 inch lift, or 2 inch body lift. I know the price difference and install requirements. Just need to see pros and cons of suspension lift VS body lift. Also want to stay with 17's i believe with 35's. Would like to "space" them out a little bit without using those POS wheel spacers. Is that were the offset comes into play? Thanks!

I like the look of this one. (Found on google) you can see how mine sits now. Those are "31's" so called.

Well 2011+ F150s have them, but we don't. So yeah, if you actually look under your truck, there's no resonators. "Straight pipe" generally just refers to no muffler(s), so the emissions systems aren't touched, though I'm sure your lovely state requires some sort of muffler to stay legal. I wonder if you're even legally allowed to put long tube headers on, because you can't even have high flow cats, IIRC.

Those are certainly some big plans! Lots of cash to lay down on all of that, but it's worth if it it's what you want. Lord knows how much I've spent already with another $6k coming down the pipe

Your leveling kit is no larger than a 2.5" judging by your UCA angle, but I'd have to see it in person to confirm (a 4" leveling kit doesn't even exist and your suspension wouldn't even bolt back together )

That truck you posted a pic of has a 6" lift (or possibly a 3" BL with 2" level, but probably not) and those are definitely 35s on 20s.

There is no advantage to a body lift other than cost. They expose the frame, make your hitch hang down low, etc. Unless you live in the rust belt, all disadvantages are cosmetic. I plan on getting one in addition to a suspension lift, so there's nothing "wrong" with them either.

If you have stock 17" wheels, there are no longer any lifts available that allow you to use them. You get them to "poke out" more with different wheels with lower backspacing (negative offset).

That's weird, yours should be farther out than mine then, are your tires 12.50 wide? Is it -12 on a 9" wide rim?
