I can beat a new 5.0 off the line till about 3rd and absolutely kill a 5.3 Chevrolet if that's what your wondering.

Need some of ya'lls opinions. I'm considering doing a little blacking out on my truck, thinking about ditching the chrome bars down the doors (which are off a GMC sierra I'm pretty sure, don't know why the last owner put them on), may get rid of the chrome handles too, black Harley replica heads off ebay, and may paint the grille surround black. What would ya'll think? Because down the road I'd love to put some machined wheels on it too.
Only concerns are about taking the chrome moldings and door handles off... if they're glued on would it just be best to try and paint them black or try getting them off? I'm nervous the paint underneath will be discolored or screwed up...
EDIT: plan on smoking the taillights and 3rd brake light as well
