Zeigler ESP and Moving from F150 to Expedition
Today I was signing the 2016 Ford Expedition papers (trading in my 2013 F150) and the topic of ESP warranty came up; I told my dealer I'd buy it for the new Expedition online from Zeigler.
Since my 2013 F150 is just 3-years and I'm under 36K miles my dealer suggested I call Zeigler and get a refund for the unused portion of the 8 yr./125K mile ESP warranty I purchase back in 2014. He said he'd do so if he had sold me the ESP. Really?
Have you guys done this when trading in an F150 for a newer model and you've had years remaining on the ESP?
I showed my dealer the Zeigler price on the ESP and he was shocked and then showed me his cost chart and the same ESP Zeigler sold me for ~ $1,650 cost him about $2,100.
Anyway, please let me know thoughts about pro-rated refund for unused ESP warranty (cause I don't know how that works) and thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Derek

Those "cost charts" are a joke.
I had a guy tell me he was going to sell me a truck for $2k under what "he paid" because he could "hide it" at the end of the month. It was at that point that I walked out. If you're going to lie to me, I'm done.
Don't believe a word out of their mouths other than "nice to meet you".
