My hats off to you for being an Engineer. As an Engineer you should understand fluid mechanics.
I don't know what it is but some folks just like to attack. I used to work for Ford and have been in the wind tunnel there. They are a smart bunch of folks there and you guys are too, you bought a Ford F150 and thank you.
It would be refreshing to get some constructive feedback on these aerodynamic devices. Instead you have to endure the juvenile attacks like you guys like to put out there.
It is ugly, it is a prototype. You add style and paint it later. The pom poms you refer to Matt are pieces of yarn which help you visualize the air flow around the surface of the vehicle. An old Aeronautical Engineering trick. But I'm sure you knew that Matt, being an Engineer.

PS, I'm an engineer too and understand fluid dynamics, but that is besides the point because most people wouldn't be willing to have a truck that looks like that for a few MPG increase. In fact, most of the guys on here put on lift kits and bigger tires which lower MPG. So if you are looking for praise for that god awful thing, you have come to the wrong place. That's all.

ftrucktough, I'm going with the fuel efficiency. The gallon I save may be that one gallon my little brother needs to get his Humvee back to his base in Iraq.
That's all.
That's all.

Uhh I think the major problem is the the other end of the truck, you know that front end that resembles a brick! Why not make that more aerodynamic instead of the back? Yea I'm just an A/C tech what do I know..

If that is your real concern, take the money you spent on that thing and buy an old car that gets 35mpg. Then use your truck when you need it instead of joy riding around with yarn on the back with your buddy joyriding around behind you with a camera. All this while both of you waste several gallons of gas just to show you might be able to save one gallon.

Ahh I did not realize that was your current project. We get a lot of people trying to advertise various crap on here, and I definitely thought you were one of them.
There are a lot of intelligent people on this forum that would gladly give you constructive feedback on the looks of it, materials, and design if you asked for it. Next time when you post looking for feedback you should say so...
