You all are scaring me

Tail of the Dragon is way overrated and overcrowded. I've only been thru it once on a bike. There's 18 wheelers that go thru there and take up both lanes around some of those turns. Then there's the racer-wannabes that think it's a race track. The roads all around it is amazing.
I haven't seen an 18 wheeler on it any time I've been on it and I've been on it more than once. But you're right about the refers. I'll assume you mean the sport bikers.
Well, I didn't say everyone was a whiny, entitled douchebag. Almost everyone here paid for a F150. Does it really matter what level of trim and how much they paid? Do those that have a higher trim level and/or paid more deserve a louder voice?
I'm here to learn more about my truck, modifying/accessorizing and known issues. Like I said before, if it wasn't for the great information here, I wouldn't stick around.
The label I put out was more or less a joke with some truth to it. It was directed to those that think this is a perfect world and get outraged when things are less than perfect and nothing will resolve their problem except a brand new replacement truck. Not a part but the whole truck. How F**king stupid is that??? I can understand if the lemon law comes into play and it's a serious issue but there were some insignificant stuff that got some of these guys' panties in a bunch.
That oil thread was especially humorous. "I must rush back to my dealer, yell at them and get the proper weight oil in my truck ASAP!" "How dare they put the wrong oil in MY truck. I should get a new engine at least!" etc, etc.
Newsflash: Your precious EcoBoost motor is not that special and it won't hurt running 5w20 over 5w30 oil. If anything, you'll get marginally better mileage because of the lighter weight oil.

I tend to agree with kedens. I do like to hear about any problems that anyone is having. It's a primary reason I use these forums. Design flaws can occur in any product made... trucks, computers, tires, you name it. We can read Consumer Reports and Edmund's until we're blue but I find that the end-user is usually the most knowledgeable. The Ecoboost torture test video was awesome but the real test begins with us and we're going to be testing these things for a number of years. I expect in that time we are going to learn a lot and I hope everyone will feel comfortable sharing what they learn and not be afraid of getting called a whiny douche. For example... because of this forum, I now know to be sure my dealer puts in 5W-30 and not 5W-20.
If 20 guys here say they have a chirp from an a/c vent, there's a problem, probably a common one. If only one guy has it, maybe a bird flew in there somehow. lol....

Not at all. I don't buy first model year changes of anything. I knew the EB was coming out and wasn't interested in a turbo engine. If anything, I have a little envy for the 5.0 motor but my 5.4 is running great and I'm very happy with my truck. It's WAY better than a SUV for my purposes.
My issue was with whiny owners that act like princesses. Whether they own a EB or 5.0 or 5.4, it doesn't really matter.

Well, my avalanche is fixed and running. Got a guy that's gonna look at it later today. Hopefully he will buy it so I will have a little extra to put down on the f150. If not, I guess I'll be trading the avalanche in.

I thought about trying royal purple until I looked at the price. Unless you are putting it in your racing rig or stealing it from work its really not worth the cost, LOL! Your average semi synthetic oil is plenty good for the any other user.
