Has anyone who wants to keep their jumpseat on the XL/STX modified the flip down seat in anyway? I thought I recall seeing someone cut out a little bit of padding on the back of the seat (top when folded) to put some sort of locking miscellaneous box. I want to retain my jump seat, and thought modifying it would be a good money saver. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

Just keep your eyes open for someone selling their upgraded jumpseat. Not unusual for someone to do a console swap and have a jumpseat to sell.

i would get rid of my jumpseat in my XLT for a center console. i hate that seat

Not exactly...I thought I saw somewhere, someone cut out the back of the fold down part of the seat to put in locking security. I might have to pioneer this one and see what I can come up with. I like my jump seat, and have used it a few times. Maybe I should just buy a jump seat from an XLT with the storage in the arm rest.
