X-plan question
Some day I want to get a King Ranch, but it probably won't happen until well into the 2011 model year. I recently discovered that I am eligible for X-plan pricing through my employer. I was looking at the x-plan site which has a section where you can look up X-plan prices for a given model and trim line. Everything from XL to Lariat was listed, but nothing above Lariat. Reading the plan rules I don't see anything that says the plan is limited to in-stock vehicles, or certain models. So I would expect KR models, or Platinums, or HD's, or anything else to be eligible no matter what - so why didn't they give prices for those models? Is it because it's late in the model year (they only showed 2010 models) and all of the upper-end trimlines are sold out?
thx,
Jay

I'm sure someone else can give a better explanation, but I think just due to all the models that the F series has on each of its levels its just too hard. They did have FX4's so I was able to look at that but don't recall seeing the others either when I bought and was looking in March and bought early April.
I'd think with X plan and similar incentives to what the 2010's have you should see approximately 10k off give or take.

It is 100% up to each individual dealership wether or not they honor "a, X, and Z" plans.
"Most" vehicles are eligible. Generally SVT products are exempt, although when I purchased my Cobra it was with "A" plan.
Each pin # is valid for 1 year from the date it is generated.
here is the discount info I found on my employee site:

When I bought mine using the X-Plan it HAD to be factory ordered. Not sure if this is typical or not though...dealers seem to make their own rules:-)
I just told him what I wanted and he showed me the price from a book. Simple and easy. All the other incentives were all still valid as well. Seemed decent.

yes under x plan you can order or buy off the lot....
some dealers frown on folks walking in with an X plan or any other plan...if they do GO elsewhere .
if you have a pin, as part of the deal your are obligated to let them know when you first start looking at a dealer.
if you order you may or may not get some of the incentives, like take delivery by XXXXX date to get 4500 cash back , etc
imo
if you know exactly what you want....and have cash for a down payment or the whole enchilada, you are better off ordering ti to your exact specifications.
i use teh x plan to basically cover the cost of the options. so i get a nicely equipped vehicle for the base price so to speak
