interesting. I wil have to make sure I dont park in my driveway anytime after July since I have two 70' tall oaks on one side and one on the other...the problem is, I also cant park in my garage...truck doesnt fit (well, if I fold a mirror I'd have an inch to spare but because of where one of the oaks is, it still doesnt work).

I just priced a new Ford oem hood for a 2010 F150 from Fordparts.com and it was $719. I only checked one of dozens of sites. I am sure some are higher but some may be less. This does not include shipping/paint/installation.

Even aftermarket hoods are 1/3 of that...
A slightly damaged hood can be picked up, repaired, and painted by a decent body-man for less then a grand.

Not in my area. Its very hard to even find a junkyard that even has a 09 ans up f150.
