YEAY!!!! A positive post. I too feel left out!! I took a hammer to my drive shaft to fit in. Now I have the vibration issue.

Which brings me to my next subject. Anyone else feel a vibration when driving? Im going to take it to the dealer. Then Im going to lemon law my truck!

Agree with EB, it seems many of the new ECO owners are tranisitioning from cars due to the claims of more MPG. I firmly believe that the F150 screw is the new SUV and people jump into them thinking they should be like the plush cars.

With that said, there are people having legitimate problems and that sucks but it happens. They come on here and complain and then other read it and get the "me too" syndrome and "think" theirs has it.

Drive it 55 and watch 21 mpg all day long. Drive it at interstate speeds and the weight and aero drag will kill your mileage. Gears and big rims hurt too. My 2011 had 3.31 and did 19-20 @ 70. my 2012 has 3.73 and does 18-19. E10 drops me into the 15-16 range. If I do above 2000 rpm my mpg plummets to 15-16. I suppose if I do Both I'd see less than 14.

I came from a Taurus X limited AWD that couldn't do EPA numbers either. When I met my wife she had a Mariner that got 14 on the highway. Then again she used to drive 80-85.

Made a 80mile round trip at 65 and averaged 27.0 down and 22.3 back. You do the math. Eco Screw 3.73 5.5' 4x4 o/r with 1.5 level

I am enjoying my truck, and I do feel for those who have problems. I sincerely hope that your dealers can resolve them.

Lately I am noticing lots of negative posts about "Do all ecoboosts do whatever" and then the post lists all the negative things about F-150 issues back to when the old 4.6L engines were throwing plugs - nothing to do with current F-150 problems. (notice my choice of words, F-150, not ecoboost). I bet if someone put up a facebook page praising the new F-150's with the great engine lineup choices we have, it would get more "likes" than the negative facebook page - unless that page gets advertised on a Tundra, Dodge, or Chevy forum, LOL.

I have owned F-150's back to my first brand new 1978 F-150, and had a couple of Dodge's in between. None of them were perfect, but my latest one is the best one yet.

There are so many negative posts on here about F150's that I sometimes forget that this is a forum for enthusiasts. By no means am I saying that we can't discuss issues with our trucks, but I find most issues can be resolved by good dealer service, or occasional forum member solutions like the recent one for the stock running boards.

So I decided to lighten the forum up a little bit. No harm or offense meant to anyone, especially those who are experiencing issues. It's time to talk about what is good about our trucks.

Hemigod I started a similar thread a couple weeks ago touching on this very same topic. I do feel bad for those who are experiencing real issues with their trucks but even though they have several sticky's to post in people continue to start new threads every day about this. Maybe just start an entire new category for these topics. Had I read this forum before purchasing it really would have scared me and I may not have purchased. I realize a forum is a place where people will go for answers or to describe issues but it is nice when people actually start threads about how great their trucks are and how much they love them. I also feel that many with the "common issues" actually start to imagine them once they read the thousands of posts here. I can safely assume there are people who were perfectly happy with their trucks and then started reading here and thinking "hmmmm yeah I think my truck is doing that too" even if it was not. And even aside from the mechanical issues people talk about the threads of "my arm rest is too low", "the cup holders are too small", and "this sucks because the glovebox has no light in it" are killing me..

Oh lawd, I felt regretful for not getting nav and now the truck's not completely loaded without the shudders and such. Back to the dealer, I'm so outraged by a non-shudderful transmission that imma drop $6k for a new 5.0, thinking that this will fix the non-issues. Heck, maybe I'll buy a Dodge cause Ford sucks not having any issues. At least with a Dodge I'd be having plenty of issues and I wouldn't feel left out.

It was nice talking to you all, maybe some day I'll see you over at the Dodge forum.

We be trollin'

The Cummins is soo legendary even though it's outsourced heavily....That makes the Ram so reliable right?

Maybe I'll buy a heavily outdated and largely insuperior new Silverado....oh wait I already did that.

OP - have you hear the term humble-brag before?

There are many seen in your OP

Everyone understands the tone of your post.
And it would have even been slightly funny until you started with the humblebrags.
example: " This truck listed for almost $52000" - let me guess though, you got a deal on it, right!?
I was watching tv last night and saw these awesome knives, they retailed for $280 for the set.. but i got them for... ready for this?.... $19.99 + $9.99 postage and handling !
I was really hoping you'd go into detail about your yearly earnings as well.

I'm glad you got that off your chest though.
