Default Would you put a 1000 miles on these?

See the pics below. I have one tire that is worn on the outside edge. I have since rotated this tire from the front to the back. I plan to level my truck this summer and get new tires. But this month I will be going on a trip and will probably add up to 1000 miles on them. Would you guys do it? Or should I get them changed out. Thanks

Pick up a used set on Craigslist, should hold you over until you do your level and tires.

Just get two semi decent used ones off craigslist until you get all new fours when you get the level. So that way you have two new tires with good tread for your trip.

I would probably just get all new instead of pay to have balancing and mounting done 2 times. What do you guys think the cause is? It's only in that section of the tire, if I spin it (to what is one the ground now) it's good. I'm guessing the wheels out of balance, but it doesn't shake.

Time for an alignment check.

I'd chalk it up to the standard-issue ****year Wranglers that Ford puts on the F-150 as stock equipment. Apparently they're known for erratic wear.

Make sure you have full laser alignment done when you fit new tires. This can easily be caused by a combination of toe in and camber angles as well as tire pressure. Adjusting should fix the problem and save you $$$$'s on the new tires. Ideally you should have noticed the wear sooner.

It's easy to knock the stand angles out of adjustment. Sometimes all it takes is a well placed pot hole in the road surface or a bump up the curb.

I bought this truck used in September and have put 4000 miles on it since I got it. I mainly wanted to get thru winter then level this spring. But with this trip I may need to do it soon.
