Default Would I look like an idiot if I bought Platinum wheels on my XLT?

I really have always like the look of the 20" Platinum wheels, however I just purchased a 2009 XLT and I've been on a search for a take off set of wheels and tires for a screaming price in Texas.

Would I look like a idiot putting wheels that came standard on a higher line truck than mine? Right now I have the 20" chrome wheels which I don't like too much.

they'd look awesome on there. its no different than adding aftermarket wheels, they just came off a different stock truck.

Okay good I'm going to look for some 20" take offs here in Texas. I just didn't want to look like a wannabe.

in all honesty though... how many people would see you drive by and say "eww are those platinum wheels on a xlt?? he can't do that!" haha. hell, majority of people out there don't even know what an f150 platinum or xlt is lol

Well I this is my first F-150. My past car were Volvo's and Mercedes AMG's. Everytime I saw a person with AMG wheels and AMG emblems it would make me shake my head. I just wanted to see what truck people think.

That's perfectly fine. Get the wheels you want and be happy. Now if you start throwing Platinum badges on your XLT, then I'll call you out. Saw a 04-08 F150 a couple months ago that was a Lariat but it had King Ranch badging on the side and KR wheels with FX4 stickers on the bed. Now that made me shake my head
