Every Ford dealership Ive ever been to has never been a good experience for me.

First they run your credit to death until there is no credit score to run. Then we had an Experience with Ray Price Ford in Stroudsburg PA where they did an oil change on my wife's Fusion left the cap off and got oil everywhere. I dont go to Ford dealerships for anything..not even their cars. Every Ford we own now Ive gotten from a Chevy dealership....

This isn't a ford dealership but still a good story. I was trading my wifes honda element in for a jeep wrangler. The element needed tires ...... they knocked 1200$ off the trade in. I literally laughed and said "are you crazy". The guy said "I can't just go to a tire store and get a set for 500$ like you" ....... I was like ummmmmm take your jeep and shove it up ur ***** ..... see ya. Its unbelievable what bull***** they will tell you to knock ur trade in down.

dealerrater isn't good. Make your review on Google or Edmunds.

Dealerrater is used by dealerships as a selling tool and it has a lot of BS 5-star reviews. I have a hard time believing that anyone would have a 5-star experience at a dealership, let alone be willing to go online and say how great their buying experience was. That alone is suspect.

When looking for a new Explorer last year, I went to three Ford dealers here in the big city. They insulted me with ridiculous trade-in prices that were less than HALF of Blue Book for a Toyota Highlander, and kept the Explorer price at sticker (supply and demand!). Walked out on all of 'em. Then on a job trip to the farmlands of central Wisconsin, stopped at Scaffidi Ford 'just to look' for a used Explorer. Found my Scab-they gave me Blue Book on the Toy, $3 grand off the sticker PLUS a $4000 Ford rebate. Made the deal and drove home in a pretty, red Scab. Try the small dealers far from the maddening crowd. They seem to treat us like their neighbor, not a range target with an X on your back.

Ah. Here's my 5 star rating for Team Ford in Edmonton, Alberta. Treated me fantastic from start to finish. I'd highly recommend them. I wrote a letter to Ford telling them how great my experience had been.

I guess it really does happen, hey?

(And guess what, I also go to TripAdvisor and sometimes write glowing reviews about places... as many other do.)

I am glad you had enough time to sit down and write a letter to Ford. Every dealer should provide 5-star service.

Personnally, I think people spend too much time complaining, and not enough time expressing gratitude. There ought to be a rule that we have to express gratitude at least once, for every time we complain about something.

It would kind of balance things out... and I bet there would be a lot more happy people in the world.

Riverview Ford in Fredericton, NB was excellent when I bought my truck. It's only new so I dont have any info or opinion on the service department, but the sales was great. They found the truck I wanted in the next province over and drove down themselves to pick it up and have it for me the next day. Its about a 5 hour drive one way.

I still exchange emails with the sales rep I used.
