Without a truck for a while

Without a truck for a while
Traded my '08 King Ranch yesterday. Wanted to get as much as I could for it, before the '13's came out and made it another model year older and dropped the value drop even more. Now the wait begins for my '13 Limited in White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat! Going to be a long wait, but it'll be worth it in the end. I was told it'll probably close to around 10 weeks.
I test drove the EcoBoost for the first time yesterday. My first thought is that the EcoBoost is a frickin beast in the F150. I haven't learned how to launch a turbo'd motor from a stop, so there's a pretty big dead spot if just floored from a stop. As soon as the turbos spool up, the truck pulls like a freight train. From a roll, it flat out *****s 'n gits! Every time I punched it from a roll, I would anticipate where the torque curve would start to fall off. I guess it was more of a mental note in my head from driving my '08. When my mind would say, "Ok, it'll start falling off now." Nope! It would just pull and pull and pull. I never had the chance to get it up to a point where I actually felt the torque fall off. I was thoroughly impressed! The power delivery is extremely smooth. The shifts can barely be felt. And it's SILENT. You can barely hear the thing run. My wife has the EcoBoost in her Edge Limited, so I kinda had an idea of what to expect in the F150. The way the power is delivered, the smoothness of everything, and the quiet sound is all the same. However, the F150 definitely put out a good bit more power. The EcoBoost is a really fun motor to drive!
This was my "goodbye" as I left the King Ranch at the dealer. It was a good truck with a very nice interior, but I don't think I'll miss it once the Limited arrives.
And my dad decided he wanted to get himself a '13 Limited also. That's his '08 Limited on the other side my King Ranch in the picture that he traded. He ordered the Ruby Red Metallic.

Congratulations, but it sucks you will be without your truck note. When a friend of mine ordered a new truck the dealer let him keep his trade in with a promise of trade in value towards the new truck, as long as he didn't change anything or rack up too many more miles. Once the new truck arrived, he took in his trade and got just what he was promised for it.

Ford is making more than just one color for 2013 Limited and they use to only release the Limited every 4 years. Obviously something has changed. I love the Limited interior.

OP, why did you have to give up your truck?
