You said it was as stock as my ZL1. My ZL1 doesn't have any upgrades to the blower, pulley, suspension, or anything else. It's just as Chevy built it. And before you say those things don't need to be upgraded, there are a number of guys on Camaro5 upgrading that stuff to bump up the power significantly. So yeah, I would expect a Mustang with the right modifications to be faster than a stock ZL1. But please, don't call that car a Roush Mustang, unless it really was one of their cars. Roush actually has cars with Stage 1, 2, & 3 packages. To say you have a Roush Mustang that's as stock as my ZL1 alludes to you having a stock Roush Stage 1, 2, or 3 Mustang. It does not sound as if that's what you had. Anyway, I bet that car was fun as hell to drive!

I said it wasn't stock. Upgraded blower, pulley, inter cooler, full exhaust, Blow By Racing tune, full suspension, drag wheels, etc, etc .... I'm on my phone and do not have any. I'll post some when I get on my laptop. Oh and get your responses in line, I never said anything about killing a Camaro with a RCSB Evoboost. I just said Camaros are slow.
And you're the first person I've heard call a factory 11 second car slow. Just because your car could beat one, doesn't make a Camaro slow. It just makes yours faster.

And get your responses in line. I referenced my original post, which mentioned the RCSB EcoBoost and not assuming it would beat a Camaro (Post #17).

It was, sold it because my daughter was getting to big to climb in the back seat because there really isn't one lol. So I had to go more family friendly and get something with four doors so I bought a 2011 with the Ecoboost

Don't worry, man. I'm not being sensitive. I'm actually enjoying the conversation. I completely expected at least one person to give me ****. Hell, I would've been that person giving someone else **** for the same thing. Like I said before, I'm a Ford fan. This is my first Chevy, and it's because it's what my wife preferred. If it was just going to be a toy for me, I'd probably be rolling in a 662 hp '13 Shelby GT500. But I can't take anything away from what the ZL1 is. It's still in incredible machine with a ton of power. It wasn't that many years ago that 500 hp was a "god-like" number to reach. Now we have two muscle cars well above that. This ZL1 is the fastest car I've owned, and it puts a big *** smile on my face. It just has a different badge from what I'm used to. Again, I've been having fun with this conversation. No over-sensitivity on my end.

Similar story here. I had a Porsche Cayman with no back seat. It was a toy that only I could enjoy. So we wanted to get something we could enjoy as a family. Luckily, my daughter will be able to fit in the back for quite some time still, since she's not even 2 years old yet.

Before you automatically think it would kill a Camaro, you would need to make sure you were sizing up the right Camaro. As an EcoBoost owner, I don't think even with a single cab, some bolt-ons, and a tune it could beat my stock Camaro. And especially if my Camaro had some bolt-ons and tune as well. Not saying it wouldn't be a badass truck. Just saying you'd need to know what you were racing if you expected to "kill" it.

Thank you! We got it about a 1-1/2 weeks ago. I work out of state and only get home every other weekend. So I got to drive it for a weekend, then headed out of state again. My wife and daughter have been back home enjoying it, though. I can't wait to drive it again!

Stunning muscle car
I've followed this thread and it's been fun. Ford vs. Chevy. I just want you to know that your new Camero is just awesome! I am a muscle car guy from the '60's. I bought a new '68 Roadrunner and thought running mid 13's with bolt on mods was a big deal, but OMG, the factory hot rods today are unbelieveable with the HP over 600 and running in the 11's. I've wanted a Boss 302 for a while now, with 2 boys in college the muscle car is on a temporary hold. Looked at a new GT500 - very cool, but pricy. The window sticker, after the 20K dealer surcharge, was a cool 88K. I will post a photo of it, but first I'd like to say what a gentlemen and good sport that you have been with Roush. Merry Christmas to you and Roush.
